I try to contribute to as many as your posts as I can, but I think my comments are being flagged as spam because of the Just a Little Background Noise name: it doesn’t think I’m a person-person. I’d appreciate it if you could check for me while I sort this out…

Thanks guys…

It's one of the finest things we do; write about our lives, because not only do we reveal our minds through revelations our thoughts provide us— But it gives us an incentive to be honest... It's almost impossible not to consider the value of thoughts with the fairly steady flow of them; their rudimentary worth, relevance to our lives and the importance to the people who have them. It's easy to see how distorted a thought can become when left to constant re-examination and how faceless victim/culprit dichotomies are given grounding by a name or a hover-card. If the last few weeks has demonstrated anything, it's how something as simple as a pen-stroke can release the burden and stresses they invariably cause. I've had glimpses into how fears, confessions, pains and crises can be put right by words creating deeds by changing little parts of the world. And I shouldn't be surprised: we write about things and repeat ourselves about things that have meaning to us. It keeps me humble...

    1. So do I – I wasn’t even aware of it until a few days ago – and I leave a bucket-load of feedback or a ‘nice one’, ‘like this’ etc… I just hope I haven’t been completely wasting my time. I think a little feedback where it’s due is important. It’s nice to hear that you’re doing something right or making someone smile – this problem is not making me smile!

I love your blog, so if it’s not too much of an effort, it might be worth checking your box until the spam guys sort this out. I don’t really want to change my name 😮

      1. I hope WordPress can sort this problem for you because I always enjoy reading your comments, and I am sure many others do as well 🙂

Thanks so much, and I will check my spam more often 🙂

      2. Thank you for saying so – you’re quite welcome. I’m crossing stuff all over the place! If it’s the name, I’ll have to change it – but that’s just seems technologically backward: we’ve been to the moon and they can’t sort out non-spamming – or maybe I am a spammer and don’t realise 😮

      3. Lol! You mean you’re a closet spammer? Agh! 🙂 Maybe it is just a glitch or something on their side because I never had a problem receiving your comments before. You shouldn’t have to change your name though, it is clearly a problem on their end.

I smile when I see your name because no matter what I am doing I always have to have a little bit of background noise, otherwise I can hear myself think and it drives me crazy! 🙂

      4. Hahaha, just a little bit, no more no less. I’m the same – I find speech rhythmns far more relaxing than music: there are too many patterns in music, so unless I’m listening and nothing else, it’s just too much! 🙂

      5. I love listening to music when I write, especially with the crazy poetry I sometimes share 🙂 I’ve also listened to chanting- but I tend to get lost in it and lose my train of thought. I’m a very weird multi-tasker, so I can type, think, sing, dance, and scribble all at the same time, haha!

      6. You’re a modern day Michaelangelo, must be! But don’t get carried away making tea… Only make the tea! How on earth do you sleep at night, or do you do it during the day whilst you’re doing something else? That’d be a gift I’d envy!

      7. Sleep?! You mean there is such a thing as sleep? I must learn it, lol! Well, let me see, I slept at 4 am this morning, and was up making my green tea shortly before 7 🙂

If I ever master the art of sleeping and working at the same time, I will package it up with a pretty little bow and make millions, hehe! 🙂

      8. lol I’ve struggled with sleep my whole life – the nodding off bit is still something I can’t get the hang of – but for the past few years I’ve made myself observe certain sleep-hygiene rules: who came up with that one, sleep hygiene *shakes head*

It doesn’t work, if you can’t sleep, you can’t sleep so you son’t sleep. But laying there in the hope of sleeping, just makes you feel ropey at best…

I think you should use one of your tasking personalities – oooh, you should name them – and solve the sleep problem!

Every couple of months I give up and just medicate! Even energiser bunnies wind down eventually 😀

      9. I have days that I just crash sometimes without medication, and sometimes I take it too (but rarely). I won’t lay down if I know I won’t be able to sleep because it just annoys me, lol. I have to always be doing something.

Hmm, name my tasking personalities…..I’ll have to think of some good ones 😉

By the way, what is “sleep hygiene”? That just sounds so wrong, haha!

      1. Well, hopefully they will figure this out. It is also happening to a friend who has a long name. *fingers crossed* words are an awful thing to waste.

  1. Me too! Sorry I missed those comments of yours 😦 There is nothing spammy about your blog name, why would the darn machine think that?!? Hope you get sorted ASAP.

      1. It’s definitely a new problem. Because the first comment I approved, then there were no problems and now all of a sudden you’re considered spam? I could be mistaken but the timing seems to coincide with the changes they have recently made on WP…

      2. I hadn’t thought of that. I’m having all sorts of irks today – this post won’t even format properly – bloody title doesn’t display in the right place…

I need a nice cup of tea and a darkened room! I’m pretty sure I would have noticed if it had been like this since day one, but it hasn’t…

Those tech guys are pretty smart – they’ll figure it out!

    1. I have no idea. OM and merbear74 brought it to my attention a couple of days ago. I’m pretty sure I’ve left no negative comments, not even on some of the more gruesome writing I’ve come across. It has coincided with some of the WP changes – that was suggested, but I don’t know…

No silly walks or reconstituted ham I’m afraid – it’s irritating mainly because I’m wary of continuing to comment knowing full well it may be eaten, but also because I leave a fair few comments here and there…

On the brightside, England gave Australia A a batting lesson last night 😀

      1. That’s so nice of them, offering to teach their split squad rivals from spring time (since we’re in fall in the north)

      2. Are you an Australian gentleman David? I’d no idea if you were, I’d’ve been a little gentler with my joy, if I’d known… I would’ve!

But it was jolly decent of them! I’ve been grinning about it all day 😀 I loved your post today by the way – really good!

  2. Funny that some of your comments made it on my posts just fine. But when I just checked, two were in my spam folder. Good luck with sorting this out and thanks so much for the comment love! I appreciate you!

  3. Hi I came on to tell you thanks for your last two comments that had also ended up in my spam! Now I see, we are not alone..or are we 🙂 anyhow..thank you so much for your sweet words, i hope to see them on my page soon!

  4. hmmmm…I found your comments in spam too. That sucks. I generally don’t comment, but if you are a commenter (commentator) then I would like to read what you have to say….and your comments are always very supportive and make me smile….so I kind of like them….I’m rambling…sorry (this is why I don’t comment)

      1. Well it’s true – you’ve been the constant from the beginning and you have no idea how much that means. It was pretty weird for the first while – no view and no comments, no likes – not that it was something I wanted… but to have someone reading, even if it was just you, it made all the difference 🙂
